On 27 January 2009, IMBC CAPITAL RISQUE was incorporated by LA REGION WALLONNE, INVEST BORINAGE CENTRE S.A. and SOWALFIN, with a starting capital of €52.5m.12 In 2013 the registered office moved to Mons.3 The capital was increased 4 times between 2014 and 2019, most recently to €130.5m.456 The name was changed to IMBC CAPITAL RISQUE in 2019.7 IMBC CAPITAL A RISQUE and IMBC CAPITAL RISQUE were merged into the company in 2019.68 Of the 12 current board members, Fabrice BRION has served longest, since 2023.9 Total assets went from €137.4m in 2019 to €153.1m in 2025.10
