- Counted every night from the Crossroads Bank for Enterprises: a company or association sits at its registered office, a sole trader at its establishment.
- The sector is the main activity in NACE 2025; the size the average staff (FTE) in the latest filed annual accounts.
- Bankruptcies: published in the Belgian Official Gazette in the last twelve months. Bankruptcy probability: the score Checked computes every night; the median only from 30 companies with a score.
- The colours are quantiles: each shade covers roughly the same number of municipalities. Municipalities as of 2025; boundaries and population (1 January 2024) from Statbel, open data.
