History

ELECTRABEL was incorporated on 8 August 1905.1 Between 2004 and 2014 the capital was increased 6 times, most recently to €5.79bn.234 7 companies were merged into the company between 2014 and 2019, including ENERGY EUROPE INVEST and OOSTERWEEL.567 The registered office was moved to Brussels in 2015.8 The board currently has 8 members.9
