Method and sources

The ranking of the firms counts only what the Belgian Official Gazette publishes. A mandate that ends without a publication is not counted in it.

Each change takes one row. A decision published in Dutch and in French appears once, with both deeds. An appointment the deed describes as a renewal of the mandate is listed as a reappointment. A proposal is not in the list. It is not a change yet.

These cases are not in the list: the revisor asked for a single report (a contribution in kind, a merger, a split or a dissolution), an association's account verifiers, the auditor a merger proposal only mentions, the engagement on sustainability information and a deed that names no firm.

The spellings of one firm are grouped. Moore Audit, MOORE AUDIT BV and Moore Audit bedrijfsrevisoren are one firm, as are EY and Ernst & Young. Spellings that carry the same enterprise number in the Belgian Official Gazette, across all years, belong to one firm. An address after the name, the legal form or a one-letter difference does not make it another firm. Two firms that each have an enterprise number of their own remain two firms.

The list starts on 01-01-2026. It is updated daily. Sector, province and legal form are the audited company's current details in the KBO register.
