Method and sources
The register (2021 to 2025) holds 106,064 entries. 98,297 of them are shown, 40% of the "attributed share" amount. These are the recipients with an enterprise number that are legal entities. Not shown: 4,886 without an enterprise number, 2,881 with a number no longer (or never) in the open KBO data.
The register does not separate grants from procurement. Where the Commission publishes no split per beneficiary, the entry counts without an amount.

Flemish subsidies (Flemish government, subsidy register): Awarded and paid, per the year the register states the support for. Awarded and paid are two different amounts and are never added. Corrections appear as negative amounts in the register.
Wallonia-Brussels Federation (Wallonia-Brussels Federation, subsidy cadastre): Paid, per the year of the payment. The cadastre carries enterprise numbers only from 2021; payments from 2019 and 2020 cannot be linked to any company.
Federal transfers (FPS BOSA, financial transfers of the federal government): Amount as published, per the year of the transfer. BOSA states no currency with its amounts; they are shown as published. Most transfers are filed under an establishment unit and linked to its enterprise.
EU budget (European Commission, Financial Transparency System): Attributed share, per the budget year of the commitment. The register does not separate grants from procurement. Where the Commission publishes no split per beneficiary, the entry counts without an amount.
EU research (European Commission, CORDIS): EU contribution, per the project's start year. The contribution covers the whole project, dated by its start year; it is paid out over the project's life.
The registers do not count the same money. They hold awarded and paid subsidies, payments, invoiced transfers, attributed shares of EU commitments and contributions to research projects. So each register stands apart, never a total across registers.
Only legal entities with an enterprise number appear in the lists. Natural persons and sole traders are not shown, even where the register states their number. They do count in the register's coverage. Sector, province and kind of organisation come from the KBO.
The figures are as the register publishes them and are updated every night. Checked adds them up per recipient, year and programme, within one register. Last updated on 08-11-2026.
